The best part of photographing wildlife is to observe, study, research, and get to know a little about the subjects. Whether on the migration plains in Africa or in the Bush of Australia, it is always a thrill to see wildlife in their native environment. Nothing quite prepares the photographer for the feeling of freedom & belonging. This part of the journey is always the best. Every aspect of traveling to a destination involves beaurocracy, or to put in other words: we have to deal with people. For me, I would much rather photograph the "simple things...".
